Things That Go Bark In The Night
Posted on Monday, May 19, 2008
Last night I was asleep until I was woken by a loud bang followed by a bark. This isn’t the first I’ve been woken up in the same fashion but this time it was much louder than it had been on those rare occasions. I knew that it was our families dog who sleeps in the kitchen. I laid in bed for ten more minuets waiting for the dog to shut up and go back to sleep; but she didn’t. In fact the barks got louder and louder and so did her constant jumping and scratching at the kitchen door.
At this point I have to say that I had an exam the very next morning and when I turned the light it was 2:20 AM; also to add the problems I have been I’ll for the past week. This in itself isn’t interesting but what was weird is that not one of my family heard the dog making the equivalent noise of a busy restaurant kitchen, in which Gordon Ramsay is the head chef. So I got out of bed to the rhythm of my dads loud and girdling snores. I threw my gown on thinking that if I’m gonna face off with a thief then at least I’ll have a small amount of protection, though I know how stupid that sounds it Gave me a small amount of confidence. Slowly I made my way down the stairs and into the living room; I turned the light on and walked into the dining room which has little more than a table pushed out the way so we can get to the kitchen and the very computer I’m sitting at which is tucked away in the corner.
Still squinting from the light of the living room, I opened the kitchen door and was greeted by the dog which jumped up to me, rested it’s front poor on my knee then jumped down and scuttled off into the living room. I then stepped into the kitchen looked into he closet. Nothing. Stepped around the fridge. Nothing. I then went back into the room and caught a glimpse of the dogs tail disappear around the corner and heard the pitter patter of her feet running up the stairs. From there on my whole family awoke to the sound of the dog running in and out of rooms and banging doors open. Tired and annoyed I climbed the stairs and went straight back to bed. I let my parents take care of the dog. The exam was the easiest exam I’ve ever done. Unless I slept through the entire thing.
It’s not nice being I’ll, tired and having to attend an exam the next day. The morale of the story is… Okay, there isn’t one. I just wanted to whether anyone would actually read this crap ; ) .

Yep, I read it. I was expecting a more exciting ending though. Glad the test went okay regardless.
